There are a lot of benefits you can get when you cut off your carbohydrate intake. Some of these benefits are currently being intensely studied, while others are already reported by people who have done it and experienced its effective result in their diets.
Simple carbs, such as those found in candies, cookies, and chips are the ones that give you a quick thrill. You are aware that they’re bad for you, and you’re guaranteed to feel guilty afterward. And yet, you can’t stop your addiction to them. It is hard to resist.
However, the Deep Water Method‘s approach is different. If you want to really lose fat and gain muscles, you must eliminate those carbohydrates completely. Why? Here are the things that you must know.
1. Carbohydrates are NOT Essential.
You know the 3 Macronutrients that serve as the main nutrients that we get from the foods that we eat: Protein; Fat; and Carbohydrates. Protein is the basic building block of our body that repairs our muscles and tissues. Fat is used by the body as energy, storage for vitamins, and productions of hormones. While Carbohydrate is just the bodies’ preferred source of energy, simply a fuel. Protein and Fat can produce that fuel as well. Carbohydrate doesn’t have any other purpose, it is just a weak link. A weak link must be cut out completely in order to improve the system of your body.
2. Eliminating Carbohydrates can Help you Burn Fat Immediately
One of the things you notice when you cut out carbohydrates from your diet is that your belly will flatten out. When you eliminate carbs, your body will be forced to burn the fats stored around your midsection for energy, rather than the sugars it takes from carbohydrates.
Eliminate Carbohydrates and Focus on Fats and Protein
If you got the nuts, eat heavy on the protein and the fat. The basic guidelines are 2:1 ratio. So if you have 400g of protein, you gonna have 200g of fat. You should just be fine like that, without the carbohydrates. You can also reduce carbs with essentials fats for huge results. The top 3 Fats that I can recommend are Coconut Oil; Avocado; and Almond Butter. If you get used to it for a couple of days, its gonna be a lot easier the days to come.
How to Start your NO Carbohydrate Diet?
So many people become dependent on carbohydrates. It’s like a painkiller. You start it off thinking that it helps you, ends up in something like you depend on. So if you wanna try to remove carbohydrates on your diet, here’s what I suggest:
-
Take your carbohydrate in the usual form, say oatmeal or rice. Something that will soak up coconut oil.
-
You’re gonna cut your normal serving of carbohydrates by 25% then put a tablespoon of coconut oil on your carbohydrate. So, for example, you get 3 quarters of what you normally use plus a tablespoon of coconut oil on your carbohydrate. You process that for 3 days. Then you’re gonna take and reduce another 25%, continue to put the coconut oil. So you now have half the carbohydrate with the coconut oil. You gonna stay on that ratio, half of your normal allotment, plus a tablespoon for the coconut oil. Now you’re gonna reduce the servings. Definitely breakfast, definitely post-training, if you have more than that. Then try to get it back with only 3 servings, meal 1, meal 2 and post-training.
-
Next step from there, would be to take out the 3rd serving. Just breakfast or just post-training. This time, you’d reduce your carbohydrate by a time. You can put coconut oil on the carbohydrate so it controls the load. By this point, you’d clearly realize how unimportant the carbohydrate is.
-
If you wanna continue from there, you’re gonna pull out your serving of carbohydrate either for breakfast or post-training. If you wanna go further, pull out the last one. If you continue to pull carbohydrate out, I would suggest putting in a tablespoon of coconut oil with every feeding/meal because that’s gonna act as your energy source much like the carbohydrate was in the beginning.
The reason we use the coconut oil is that it’s MCT. It breaks down much faster. Gets in the system, gives you energy much like the carbohydrate but it will gonna create a more stable blood sugar which is gonna give you better energy levels. You’re not gonna have that lonely afternoon, ultimately, you’re gonna be a happier person and you’ll get a more stable flow and stable blood sugar.
Going with the norm is for people with no plans and vision. It’s fun to push yourself and try something new, find the limits and learn from it. Always remember that getting better is not easy. Getting better is difficult. You need to be able to become comfortable in an uncomfortable place to reach your goals. Suffering is not the worst thing on the planet. Suffering is actually what lets you know your life. Suffering is what gets you to the front of the line. So, back from the beginning. Carbohydrates are for the weak.
